Andrea Limcangco Clarke, MSC, CCC,

Counselling Therapist

Hi! I graduated with my Masters of Science in Counselling and completed my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and did my practicum internship at Calgary Counselling Centre. I have worked with a range of ages from 5-85 years old. I'm particularly interested in working with children, the BIPOC community, and first and second-generation immigrant young adults. I primarily use a person-centered approach, which emphasizes creating a supportive, empathetic space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals. I also incorporate various evidence-based techniques, including play-based therapy, to ensure a well-rounded holistic approach that caters to the unique needs of each individual.

My goal is to help clients build confidence, resilience, and work toward meaningful, positive change in their lives. I believe in the power of connection and healing, and I'm passionate about supporting individuals through their journey of growth and self-discovery.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the mountains, cuddling with my cats, yoga, connecting with friends and family, and designing floral arrangements.

We acknowledge that we live, work and play within Kanata (Canada). We recognize the First Nations, Metis and Inuit people of Canada, the impacts of colonization and the lives, ceremonies, languages, and teachings lost. We work in the spirit of healing and reconciliation to honour those we have lost, those with us, and those yet to come. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
